HELPING YOU REACH YOUR FINANCIAL DESTINATION – ONE STEP AT A TIME

Discovery Phase. In the early stages of our relationship, we will meet with you personally to

determine how we can help create a positive impact on your financial well-being. We will

assess your current and future objectives together. We will analyze your assets and identify

necessary adjustments to get you where you ultimately want to be.

Planning Phase. Between the Discovery and Implementation phases, we map out the details

of your investment approach to erase any uncertainty about how we will manage your assets.

By clearly defining our investment strategy, we will only move forward when you are

comfortable and ready.

Implementation Phase. With our plan in place, we will begin to implement your investment

strategy. About six weeks after we begin working together, we will meet to evaluate the early

progress of your account and make any necessary changes. We will also begin to develop

your financial plan which entails a comprehensive evaluation of the entire range of your

financial needs. By employing the expertise of professionals within our firm as well as within

our selected network, your plan will be customized to meet your specific needs.

Ongoing Review. Communication with our clients is critical for us to maintain an

understanding of your needs and situation. At our first regular progress meeting, we will

review your financial plan and make the necessary adjustments depending on any changes to

your situation. Following the first progress meeting, we will meet quarterly to ensure you are

staying on the right path to reach your goals.

INSTITUTIONAL THINKING FORINDIVIDUAL INVESTORS

We believe that individuals and families with significant wealth can benefit from

the rigor and sophistication that typically characterize institutional portfolio

management. Our approach to managing client assets is rooted in the following

core strengths:

Deep understanding. Before we invest any money for a client, we first

determine the client’s goals, tolerance for risk, and time horizon. We measure

these factors against our extensive knowledge of investments. Only then do we

consider asset allocation and diversification.

Disciplined portfolio construction. Based on the specifics of each client’s

situation, we provide exposure to an appropriate mix of traditional and

nontraditional assets. We also seek to provide diversification within each asset

class—across sectors, industries, and countries.

Rigorous oversight. When implementing a client’s investment strategy, we

use a stringent process to screen investments, selecting those that meet the

objectives established for that client. Once the appropriate selections have

been made, we provide ongoing oversight and make changes as appropriate.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FINANCIAL ADVISOR

The financial advisor you choose not only will have access to intimate detailed

information regarding your personal finances, but also will be the individual

entrusted to manage your financial future. Make sure your advisor has:

Strong ethics. The integrity of your advisor is of the utmost importance. It is

essential that you can be confident that your interests will always come first.

A global perspective. In an ever-changing global economy, your advisor

needs to have the resources and expertise to identify investment opportunities

both domestically and abroad.

Knowledge and experience. Managing your investments is about much more

than picking stocks or mutual funds; it requires an understanding of economics,

corporate finance, asset valuation, and portfolio construction and management.

Industry recognition. While there are a number of reputable credentials in

the financial industry, none are as rigorous or as widely respected as the

Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.

THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF EXPERISE

Our team of experienced professionals has received expert designations that

demonstrate our commitment to providing the highest level of expertise to all of

our clients:

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - CFA charterholders are highly prized by

institutional money managers as investment analysts, strategists, pension fund managers

and mutual fund portfolio managers. CFA charterholders must pass a schedule of

extremely rigorous exams over a 3-year period and have four years of professional

investment experience. The curriculum includes subjects such as economics, financial

reporting and analysis, corporate finance, fixed income and equity analysis, derivatives,

alternative investments and wealth planning. Known as the gold standard of investment

management designations, charterholders are subject to the most rigorous ethical

standards in the industry.

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) - CFP® professionals must pass the comprehensive

CFP® Certification Exam, which tests their ability to apply financial planning knowledge to

real-life situations. They are also required to have several years of relevant financial

planning experience. The exam covers the financial planning process, tax planning,

employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management

and insurance. This comprehensive exam ensures that a CFP® professional is highly

qualified to develop a financial plan for individuals and families. CFP® professionals are

held to the CFP Board’s standards of professional conduct that require them to put the

client’s interest ahead of their own at all times.

OUR INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY

• We believe in the fundamental principles of strong diversification, low cost investing, and the idea that markets are best navigated with the avoidance of large losses.

• Our competitive advantage is being able to produce a more complete GLOBAL picture of the investment landscape. Successful investing requires the analysis of the economy, company balance sheets, earnings, market valuations, and finally market participants.

• We begin with a top-down global macroeconomic analysis including, but not limited to, fiscal policy, monetary policy, employment and earnings growth.

• Our focus is long-term investing to capture gains during rising markets. Equally important, we reduce risk during market declines to protect clients from significant losses. Managing risk is at the center of what we do for our clients in order to preserve gains and minimize losses.
