Establishing shot: The artist facing away from camera whilst standing at the peak of a hill to show he’s is on top; making reference to him being the top/number 1 artist in his genre.

First shot of the artist: showing his face for the first time (straight-faced look very conventional).

Linkage of lyrics to the video: “London stand up!” – representing for his city as it is a convention for all artists in his particular genre to do so.

“I need a worldwide stage” stands on top of hill with arms spread out in front of natural scenery (worldwide stage) to emphasise the lyrics said.

“Bring the game to us, lyrically we are dangerous” these lyrics relate to what is happening in the video at that point as the athlete on the ball is “bringing the game” to his opponent and is “dangerous” as he poses a threat.

“I am only gonna say it once” – puts finger up as a warning reinforcing that bad-boy/gangster image shown in many conventional rap/hip-hop videos.

“Got the game locked up, screaming free me” – this clip in the video links to the lyrics said, as the effect of the screen split in four represents many opponents/artists in his genre screaming free me as he has the key to the game/control of the game, and he has it “locked up”.

Wide-shot: this shot is also taken from the side to create variance in shots used, as the audience can become very uninterested with the video whilst it plays if the artists actions always transpires from a neutral point of view.

“If you can’t see me, then sit down” – These lyrics link to the video as the artist points down, followed by the camera tracking vertically. Furthermore this movement of the camera emphasises the meaning of the lyric as the artist is saying if your not on his level, sit down as he is the master/teacher and opponents are like students to him.

“If rap is an ocean, most of you can drown” – the artist shows charisma which is something that you need in his genre of music in the modern day. He does this by emphasising the lyric by visually demonstrating an ocean with his hands.

“Yeah I have it, I smack it” – Artist reinforces that bad-boy/gangster convention by smacking the camera, and I use an effect called split screen in final cut pro to make is seem as if he has damaged the camera.

“It’s Ludicrous the way I be doing this” – This clip links to the lyrics said as the skills the athlete is showing are crazy and is not something you would see often. Furthermore, his lyrical skills are also something that you wouldn’t hear from anyone else in his genre, therefore he is trying to emphasise his superiority over the other artists in his genre.

“Eating up these rappers like they were a damn can of tuna fish” – The artist is saying that he defeats artists in his genre with ease and emphasises this lyric by holding a can of tuna fish to help get his point across.

“Sarz rap needs you” – An extreme close up of the artists mouth is used to give an impression of another person telling him that his genre of rap needs his music.

“Success is fate, Don’t Hate, Just wait till the day that…” – this clip links to the lyrics because the artist is saying that success for him is inevitable, don’t hold him back, just wait and see, and just as he finishes the lyric “Wait till the day that…” The basketball goes through the hoop and the athlete scores.

“You see me living large, you see me going far” – here, I have made the transition from a mid-shot to a full-shot which links to the lyrics as you see him “large” then you see him “far” back.

Master shot/Longshot - Used to end the video while he goes stands in the lift as it closes. This can also be seen as the artist going up as that its where he stays; at the top of his genre.
