My brother Mark and me. I was born April 16, 1970. We both were born in Atlanta.

Here we are getting ready to move to Canada in 1973. My mom missed her parents so we moved to Canada.

It was a little colder in Calgary, Alberta than Georgia!

We moved to British Columbia, Canada where I spent most of my formative years. My dad designed our home and this was an ideal place to grow up. It was pretty temperate and a real small town.

We moved to Penticton in the middle of my first grade year (1976). The new province had a better educational system and I was a little behind academically. This was my first and last experience of being in the lowest reading group. It was an experience I will never forget.

Many summer days were spent on our boats in Canada. I lived here from age 7 to age 15.

I competed in downhill ski racing most of my childhood.

Due to a sluggish economy in Canada, my dad moved to Saudi Arabia when I was 14. He lived there just one year and then we all moved to Arizona so we could be with my Canadian grandparents who wintered in Arizona.

I graduated from high school in Tempe, Arizona in 1988. Then I went to Arizona State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Masters in Educational Administration.

I was married to David McGraw on October 9, 1993. It was a beautiful start to a great life. I am very blessed.

Our first child, MacKenzie, was born on January 10, 1996. She was born 13 weeks early and only weighed 2 pounds 6 ounces.

Our second child, Ian, was born on June 23, 1997. Two weeks after he was born we moved to northern California.

We loved living in northern California, but in 1999 we were transferred to Mission Viejo in southern California. We went to Disneyland over 15 times in one year! The kids loved it!

I missed my parents so we moved back to Arizona so we could be near family.

In 2001 we went to England and Scotland. Our children loved traveling and seeing all the amazing sites.

This is the last Christmas that the whole family was together. After this Christmas, my husband and I moved to Peachtree City, Georgia.

I joined the staff at Huddleston Elementary School in 2004. I began teaching fourth grade, but then later moved to teaching the gifted students after I

received my gifted endorsement in 2007.

The kids are loving growing up in Peachtree City. They love the golf cart paths and the wonderful schools.

I began my ED. S in Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia in 2009.

The kids went on their first cruise February 2010. We went to Grand Cayman, Belize, Honduras, and Mexico.

What will happen next?

• December, 2010- I will graduate with my ED. S in Instructional Technology.

• February, 2011- We will go on a family Caribbean cruise with my parents and my brother’s family. We are looking forward to another cruise with the kids.

• May, 2014- Our daughter will graduate from McIntosh High School and will begin university in August, 2014.

What will happen next?

• May, 2015- Our son will graduate from McIntosh High School and will begin university in August, 2015 or he will enlist with the Air Force Academy. We will officially be “empty nesters”. Time for Harley motorcycles and some crazy fun!

• October 9, 2016- David & I will celebrate our 20th anniversary. I plan on taking some time off that week and surprising him with a trip to somewhere exciting.

What will happen next?

• 2017- We will go to Africa to meet our sponsor child, Norah.

• May 2018 & 2019- We will be attending the graduation of our children from university.

• 2030- My husband will retire from Black & Decker if he hasn’t already left to form his own company.

What will happen next?

• 2035 – I will retire from Fayette County Schools after a lifetime spent doing what I love – teaching!

• 2040 to who knows when?- We will be enjoying retirement life! Hopefully because we are taking good care of ourselves now, we will be in good health.

• He’s Not Finished With Me Yet!
