A2 Evaluation

Sunday 7th April- MUST BE UPLOADED!

Page 2: A2 evaluation

4 questions...

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Page 3: A2 evaluation

Requirements...Use more than one format in answering the four set questions -generally best practice.

The most successful evaluations were video commentaries with images cut over the top to illustrate the commentary.

Mobile phone footage was quite effective in ‘snapshot’ style interviews for audience feedback, remember to film with the phone held in landscape orientation.

Use of range of digital presentations. NOT a PPT with picspopped in.

You will evaluate your work digitally.

Must give a clear indication of their role in any group evaluation and the presentation must be evidenced (filmed).

It may be done individually (preferred) or with the production group as a whole.

Answer EVERY question and ANALYSE, don’t

Q3 is a very well shot video, with a good presentation by the candidates. The content is a bit limited though!.

The prezi is a bit text– heavy for Q2, though it covers appropriate ground.

Q1 has involved a lot of work in drawing comparisons with real media and is well constructed.

• The audience video is well produced and uses a range of techniques. The video on the combination of products uses the tagging feature of youtube quite well and takes some material from other sources to show how ideas were arrived at.

• The prezi on technology is a little text heavy and does not make the best possible use of the medium. The forms and conventions video makes a lot of good references to real texts on which the group have drawn and explain it quite well.
