The school librarian empowers students to be critical thinkers,

enthusiastic readers, skilled researchers, and ethical users of information.

Visual Literacy Technology Literacy

Creates an Inquiry-Based (Student-Centric) Program

Regularly Assesses Learning

Uses Strategic Planning

Has Full-Time Qualified Staff

Is Flexible, Open, Accessible

Has Sufficient Funding

Develops Clear Policies and Procedures

Maintains a Well-Developed Collection

Expands Outreach and Advocacy

Participates Regularly in Professional Development

Provides School and Professional Leadership
