Designs and Idea’sBottle Holder’s

As a part of my IB Design and Technology final project, we were required to design and produce a product. I chose to make a bottle stand for the retailers. Here are some of the ideas and designs with their drawings.

This is a unique bottle stand, made out of aluminum and plastic or even wood. The bottles get stuck from the head into the holes. The holes are drilled in such a way that the bottles are facing diagonally downwards, this clears the balancing problem of the bottles. This could be a bit technical as lots of effort and measurements would be needed to balance all the bottles, the base is wide eventually. Though by design, the bottle actually has an inclination inwards. So the weight of the bottle is all directed inwards the bottle stand and down to the base. Eventually, I decided on improvising the design and eradicating the problem. The drawing on the right bottom side shows a developed version of the previous. The hole has been enlarged so that, more than half the bottle could fit inside, and thus balance the bottle and the stand. This was my developed design.

This is a very simple bottle stand, made out of aluminum and plastic. There is nothing fancy. Each holder is bolted to the main stand and the main stand slotted into the base. Maintaining this would be a problem as there could be dirt that could reach places where the eye doesn’t meet. Regular wiping with a wet cloth is needed. There is brand exclusivity as we can insert the brand tags on the top of the stand

This is a very fancy bottle stand, made out of aluminum and plastic. Inspired from a growing plant. This cant be used all the time by the retailers and so is a campaign stand. A catchy looking design, with the holders welded to the main stand. Its very reliable and easy to use, maintenance wouldn’t be a problem, as all it would require is regular dusting, and a wet cloth for stains. A constrain would be the number of bottles that can be put.

This is a unique bottle stand, made out of plastic. This design was inspired by a flower. It has a different design overall but obviously its hard to make. The racks are the petals of the flower and the bottles are held on each “petal”. It holds a limited amount of bottles which is a constrain, this eventually makes it a campaign bottle stand, as it cant be used all the time. The petals or racks are held by one main stand preferably made of aluminum or any other metal which can be bent into a shape of a stem. It then is held by a main support made of a strong metal, that can support the whole stand. Maintenance is easy, it just needs to be washed from the top. The bottle size is another constrain.

This is a unique bottle stand, made out of aluminum and plastic. This design was influenced by a simple golf racket. It has a catchy shape and design. The bottles are held inside the lube rack, the bottom most bottle is the main support for the above bottles, the bottles stopper is held on by the bottom bottle, and as the bottom bottle is removed, the stoppers flip down and the next bottle slides down. Again that bottle will support the above bottle. Maintenance is easy, it just needs to be washed from the top. It doesn’t have a large capacity. Moving this around would be a problem.

This design is made specifically of bamboo. The drawing shows two arms of bamboo which are half cut from the top and the bottle would be “slot-in” or “held-on” on the cut part of the bamboo. There will be many more arms of the bottle stand with the similar design, and it will be arranged in a manner that reflects a growing lotus and its petals. I would imply the “slot-in” technique for the base of the stand as shown in the diagram.

The final product. Some improvises that could be made include, the wires could be substituted by banana leaves, by twirling it into a small wire shape and thickness. There could be more finishing done on the bamboos..

This is a simple free hand sketch of two footballers and in between is the logo of the football club FC Barcelona. This signifies my passion in football. This is one of my rough sketches drawn at my free time.

A CAR DESIGN

This is freehand sketch of a design of a car. I made this design after few classes of techniques and rendering with my design technology teacher.

SAVE ME CAMPAIGN

This was a drawing done during the “Save Me” campaign. It depicted the earth under danger with problems like pollution, crime, burning of trees etc.

Platonism is the immortality or the non death of the soul and or the spirit. This painting depicts mortality and immortality. The rocks signify the dead. The end of life. Whereas the imprinted hand with colours signify living. The colours of life which never fade away. The soul is created by God and it does not perish when it separates from the body at death. It will be reunited with the body at the final resurrection.

LIFE vs Death
