Library Terms Library catalog: The log or register
of all the items in the library. Bibliographic item: A library item. Card catalog: A physical file cabinet
in the library used to house physical cards to document library items.
Catalog record: A document holding the library item’s relevant information.

Online Public Access Catalogs(OPACs)
OPACs catalog the holdings of a specific library or library system.
OPACs do not catalog all of the items in a library.
OPACs allow for searching using several criteria• For example: Author, Title, Subject, Keyword
