• Most colleges shelve fiction according to Library of Congress Classification System (LCCS)

• PR Section contains English Literature

• Materials that instructors have set aside specifically for that course to be made available to all his/her students.• They are kept at the circulation desk• Usual check-out period is two hours• May include books, dvds, cds, articles, textbooks, study

• ACC has over 100 databases• Each is called by its

specific name rather than the company name.• Ex: CINAHL, PsycInfo, ERIC• Films on Demand

PLAGIARISM & CITATION STYLES

High School

• Not tolerated- consequences may include a zero for the assignment, possible failure of class

• Usually one citation style used, MLA

• Not tolerated- consequences include being dropped from class, academic probation, financial loss, possible expulsion from college

• Many citation styles depending on the discipline (MLA for English, Turabian for History, APA for Psychology, etc.)
