For example when you think of rock/alternative music you would associate it with guitars, drums, big lights, fire and live performances etc. Lyrics and visual- this is where the lyrics match the video. E.g. the Taylor swift wildest dreams video matches the video as it goes through as if the video is following the story line of the lyrics. Music and visual- this is where the background music matches the video so the music wouldn’t be happy and lively when showing a funeral scene. Demands of the record company- This is where it focuses around the main artist. This artist may grow into a specific style which continues throughout their career e.g. p!nk (punk/alternative style) References to voyeurism- intimate nature (Voyeurism- pleasure from watching, preferably when the object isn’t aware of being watched) Intertextual references- these are references which link to existing forms of media like television, video and other music videos. An example of this would be when Taylor swift refers to William Shakespeare’s story of Romeo and Juliet in her song and video for love story.
