How to Add data on the map

2-Then create new map1-First of all must Create new Project.

3- On the Map tab, in the Layer group, click the Add Data drop-down menu.

For Shapefile

For Excel sheet(CSV

format)

Add x,y coordinate data to the map

• If you want to add Add x,y coordinate data , click XY Event Data .

• This opens the Make XY Event Layer geoprocessing tool. Specify the parameters and click Run to execute the tool .

Export Excel to shp

1- Select the x,y layer in the Contents pane.

2- Under Feature Layer, on the Data tab, in

the Export group, click Export Features .

3- This opens the Export

Feature geoprocessing tool. Specify

the parameters and click Run.

Export Excel to shp

4- In the Contents pane, you will see shapefile (Ammer_test) , you can check type of data by Properties layer .

Convert Point to line (shp)

1- On the ANALYSIS tab, in the Geoprocessing group, click Tools .

2- This opens the geoprocessing tool (Right of

Screen )

3- Search about Point to line tool .

4- Open that tool. Specify the parameters and

click Run .
