Till early 20th century historians supposed that history has begun with Greece. European historians branded India asHotbed of barbarism. In 1924 Sir John Marshall announcedDiscovery of Mohenjo-Daro on western bank of Indus river,Remains of what seemed to be an older civilization then anyKnown to man.

The discovery of Mohenjo-Daro had shaken the English. The left no stones unturned to belittle and defame Indian History. They ignored Vedas, Upanishads, called MahabharataAnd Ramayana as Epic. They told us that our civilization is1000 years B C old. Our history starts after invasion of Aryas.

THE EUROPEAN HISTORIANS JUST COULD NOT ACCEPT THAT WHEN THERE WAS NO HISTORY, NO SOCIETY, NO CULTURE IN EUROPE, INDIA HAD HOUSES WITH KITCHEN,BATHROOM, WATER SUPPLY, POTTERIES IN ORGANIZEDTOWNS. THERE WAS CONCEPT OF MARRIGE, PROPERTYALMOST TWO MILLENNIUM BEFORE EUPOPEANS.

HISTORIANS FROM EUROPE TRIED TO PAINT A PICTURETHAT HARAPPA CULTURE WAS RESTRICTED TO INDUS RIVERAND REST OF INDIA WAS WITHOUT ANY HISTORY. THEYFORGOT THAT SIMILER CULTURES ARE FOUND IN KALIBANGANON BANK OF GHAGGAR RIVER IN RAJASTHAN, LOTHAL NEARGULF OF CAMBY AND SURKOTADA 270 K M NORTH WEST OFAHMEDABAD. THE SAME CULTURE WAS FOUND IN 11 SITES INBHAWALPUR STATE, 25 SITES IN BIKANER, NEAR MERRUT AND MANY MORE PLACES.
