Barbie and Joe’s Secret Sunset Wedding Ceremony-- April 2010Sanibel Island, Florida.

It was seemingly just another ordinary evening on Sanibel Island. Gorgeous beach, perfect sunset. However, we got the scoop that a very secret wedding was in the

process of taking place, right here on this beach.

It was rumored that Barbie, who split with Ken in 2004, was getting married to GI Joe. Looks like the rumors were true. Something was in the works. Our sources spotted this motley looking crew of dolls and animals gathering on the

beach at the West Wind Inn, on West Gulf Drive , Sanibel Island.

Even Eeyore, the very famous Donkey was in attendance. This Eeyore came all the way from Michigan for this event .

Upon further investigation, we discovered Yes- it was true. Barbie and Joe were looking to pull off the Wedding of the

Century……….. It was all arranged.

Beach Joe was officiating, dressed in casual Island chic--Bermuda shorts, no shirt. Barbie’s friend and family were gathered.

A personal, sea- shell lined path was hand excavated to serve as an aisle for the blushing bride.

All of the guests looked happy and relaxed, as it should be on Sanibel. The sun was setting, the breeze was light and Barbie looked radiant. (Designer of wedding dress

unknown)Barbie’s best friend and maid of honor was giving her some last minute advice.

Wedding Barbie was dreamy eyed and could barely contain her excitement . Barbie wanted everything to be perfect. She even had her dog flown in, on a private jet, to

be with her and Joe on their special day.

Joe put on his best hat, and watched patiently as the group got ready for the ceremony.

He looks pleased. Everything was perfect.

As the sun sets, it gets closer to ceremony time. Every one is in position. Barbie has her flowers. Beach Joe makes the

announcement that the ceremony is about to begin.

Barbie had specifically requested readings from “Gift From the Sea” by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

How apropos!

And so the ceremony begins. As the delicate rays of the Sanibel sunset grace the ceremony, Joe rises to greet his bride.

The Maid of Honor makes her way down the path.

Barbie gets ready for her cue.

And she’s off and running, right down the shell lined sand path to her beloved….

Another special guest appears on the scene. A small, blue dolphin came to wish them well. Barbie loves Dolphins. Joe arranged for the dolphin to join them, and he keeps an eye out for

danger as well as a hand on his bride.

The sun officially dips into the ocean as the Barbie and Joe Secret Ceremony wraps up- check out all the unsuspecting witnesses taking in the Beauty of Sanibel.

Joe can barely contain his excitement, as he grabs his bride and squeezes her tight.

It’s now official. Barbie and Joe pulled off the ultimate secret wedding. Too bad those people have no clue as to what just happened. That’s o.k.- It’s time to cut the cake.

They are now ready to start their new life together. More rumors have it that Barbie has been looking at real estate in the area. They love Sanibel……………
