2. Our Mission

  • The National Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. Our mission includes increasing awareness through education, providing diagnostic breast care services for those in need, and providing nurturing support services.

3. Our Goal

  • Our Goal at the National Breast Cancer Foundation is to spread knowledge around the world about the how serious of an issue breast cancer is.We want to save lives and help the weak become strong. We want to help them fight through theircancer with their heads held high and with no doubt in their minds. It isimperativethat they know if they are at anytime feeling low that they can come to us for any questions and get involved in our support groups.

  • We use celebrity support to help raise the money for free mammograms. They help by autographingmemorabilia, recording public service announcements, and also helping promote events.

  • We focus on reaching out to anyone who has breast cancer or anyone who knows someone with breast cancer.
  • We help anyone at any age, even men who are also prone to breast cancer.
  • We also help individuals keep their head up and fight through the cancer.

  • We provide free mammograms for anyone who is in need.
  • We want toexplicateknowledge by having excellent resources.
  • We also have many different types of support groups that help cancer patients know that they are not alone.

  • We give the support and confidence they need to fight the cancer.
  • We give great information about the programs and support groups so people are more informed about breast cancer.
  • We have saved many lives by finding the cancer early with mammograms and preventing the cancer before it became a serious issue.

  • Breast Cancer is the most common type of canceramong women in the United States today.
  • There are approximately 2,000,000 women who have breast cancer today.
  • About 200,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in women every year.
  • About 40,000 women will die from it.This is why we have this program to help prevent these women who have breast cancer to survive it and

  • diagnoses before it is to late.

  • The mission of the non-profitThinking Foundationis to support high quality research on cognitive skills development, creativity, and critical reflectionat pre-school, K-12 and college levels in order to transform learning, literacy, teaching and leadership around the world for those with the greatest need.

10. How would the National Breast Cancer Foundation appeal to the Thinking Foundation?

  • The Thinking Foundation can provide information about breast cancer for two weeks in October for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month it would help all the students and the teachers be aware of how serious this issue is.
  • The Thinking Foundation gives teachers the information to help teach their students how to use critical reflection and development on cognitive skills. If they incorporated the information that the National Breast Cancer Foundation provides it might help the children be aware of breast cancer at an earlier age and help prevent it sooner when they are old enough to have it.

  • I am really passionate about this program even though I do not know anyone with breast cancer.
  • I believe that this program makes an impact on everyone. It shows that this country can come together and prove that we all really do care about others who live around us. No hatred; just love and support for those who are sick and in need of help and guidance.
