Our city,Afyonkarahisar, is in mountainous countryside inland from the Aegean coast, 250 km south-west of Ankara,our capital city. Afyonkarahisar is known for its marble (high quality white stone),healing qualities,spas,mineral waters, its sucuk (spiced sausages), its Turkish Delight cream and various handmade weavings.

Our town,Çay,is 40 km away from Afyonkarahisar.Population is about 35000.There are two lakes here and people living around the lakes live on fishing as well as farming.
