CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL
Christmas is a time of fun, joy and hope for all thechildren around the world. This time of the year is very special in our school, too. Together with our teachers, we celebrate Christmas in many different ways, starting at the beginning of December up until the 23rd of December, when our school closes for the Christmas holidays.Here, we are going to present what we did at school this year to celebrate Christmas. We hope you’ll enjoy it with us!

Also, we cut, coloured and wrote Christmas cards for our families and friends.

During our English lesson, we read texts about Christmas in other countries…

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL We did Christmas exercises, too – it was such
fun!

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL We also learnt, then sang, Christmas songs,
in English and in Greek.
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL We watched “A Christmas Carol”, a great
movie based on the well-known Dickens book.
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL On the 7th of December, we organised a charity school bazaar, in which we made ourselves most of the items to be sold and raised enough money to help people in need.

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL We watched a theatrical performance, called
“Rossiniada”, a fairytale that introduces children to the magic world of Joaquino Rossini, one of the greatest opera composers. We just loved the colourful costumes and the wonderful melodies!

based on the famous fairytale by Oscar Wilde. An amazing performance!

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL On December 19th, we had our school
Christmas festival, with short theatrical plays, poems and songs.
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT SCHOOL With the help of our teacher, we baked and
served traditional Christmas sweets!
