Community Language Learning /CLL/ respresents the use of Counseling-Learning theory to teach language.

In humanistic psycology Charles A. Curran found that a person often feel threatened by a new learning situation or fear that they will apprear foolish.

It is a way to deal with the fears of students is for teachers to become language counselors.

CLL advises teachers to take their students as a «whole person»

factors simultaneously

D• Discrimination• Ss sort out the differences among target language forms such as

Teachers want their students to learn how to use the taget language communicatively.

Students learn about their own learning.

Students learn how to learn from one another.

Translation will be provided by the teacher.

Teacher «counseils» the students.

This method is specially created for adult learner who might fear to appear foolish.

Students apply the target language independently when they feel confident enough to do so.

Students are encouraged to express how they feel about the learning process.
