What is ‘The Cloud’?

The delivery of on-demand computing resources over the Internet on pay-for-use basis.-IBM

Cloud Computing refers to both the applications delivered as services over the Internet and the hardware and systems software in the datacenters that provide those services.

In simple words, cloud is Software and hardware to operate datacenters.

Private cloud: not available for rental Data Centers

Protected cloud: Academic
