Lewd remarks, cutting grass for cattle, refusal to remove garbage, even dog walking- anything can lead to a communal clash in Uttar Pradesh these days. The fallout- a benefit for the BJP. The Uttar Pradesh government’s inaction over the communal tension, which simmered for days as the Hindutva brigade fanned it, has drawn fire from all sides. The trouble began on august 27 with the killing of three youths over the incident of harassment. But caught between politics and administration, the government failed to take any measure to quell. Over 31 innocent lives were taken away by the rioters. The latest violence in Muzaffarna gar began with a lewd remark at a girl. T h e question that strikes many of our minds is that why any small incident that takes place does is enough to ignite a major clash between the religions. Why it is happening in India itself? 'Alcohol is injurious to health.' It's a statement that passes by our eyes, in TV shows, commercials, movie screenings, mostly un-noticed. Ever thought about how and why it is recently, so much focused on? Because of the continuously increasing deaths & injurious health of people due to excessive alcohol consumption-Yes! But more over because of the much more growth of drinking habits; especially in the teens of our society.

According a study, 95% people take their first alcohol unit from somebody else's money. Most of them drink to get rid of their tensions, some acquire it due to excessive depression, some due to o v e r w h e l m i n g e m o t i o n a l circumstances & a few drink just to stay in the loop, rather call it peer

pressure. The Reasons differ from person to person, outcomes don't. No matter what got you addicted to alcohol, it is and will be harmful to your health. As per the government guidelines, per day 2 and 4 units for women and men respectively are genuine. Females are more at risk than males. It may sound sexist, but its authentic biology. Females have less body weight and less amount of water content in their body as compared to males. More than the above stated units consumption sooner or later leads to serious illness & diseases. Everybody knows its risk, still they can't let go of the habit. It's an addiction. And excess of 'any' thing, has a bad ending as we all know it. The short term effects are easily observed like hallucinations, bad memory etc are curable and are seen on people who

do not drink frequently. While, the long term effects are difficult to cure, and impossible; once it's too late. It's not easy to drop out on something you have been on for so long. But at the same time, for your own sake, it's crucially essential to not go off the line.

Yes, this is the time of your lives to live while you're young! To have the ultimate fun- To try everything for yourselves- To live life at its edge and make long-lasting memories. But if you're carelessly unaware of its results these memories would turn out to be nothing more than a bunch of regrets. After all, at the end, it's you alone to pay the price. Live your life to the heights, don't spend it recklessly-it's precious!

Its deep darkness around, water replacing the groundClouds fighting hard singing songs of thunder

Then how can rains be beautiful, I wonder?Throwing beams of charges, smashing hard to emit light

Then how can rains always be a delight?Sky all black with signals of threat being generated

Then why are rains so desperately awaited? The way it comes you see, is tough

May be its loved because it brings the season of loveIt paints the earth with a canvas of grace

It's a symbol of prosperity, all worthy to praiseIt brings green. it fills blue

It gets along freshness like the grass with dewIt makes you remember people, makes you sing and dance

It makes you feel better, gives you a sweet chance to romanceIt makes you think about the people you love,

It simply takes away all your painIt is a soothing experience I tell you dear friends; give your mind a peaceful break,

Just go hear the voice of the rain!!!!

God's creations are so beautiful and elusive. Ever wondered what we are missing everyday, what is god gifted to us?Sound of the flowing water, the chirping of birds and insects, sapling turning into plant, creepers slowly covering the wall., murmuring of bees, the rainbow. Such an aesthetic formation around us. In this electronic world. We are so busy that we don't even have time for our family and friends. Living stressful life, but when we get time and spend it with nature. It does some kind of magic on us. For some time we forget what all kinds problems we are dealing. Nature allure us. Frankly, We love it too.Don't you think we are turning this luscious nature into drought land? It's dinnertime but there's no food in the house, so you get in your car and drive to the grocery store. You walk the aisles browsing for something to buy. You pick up chicken and a pre-made salad, then return home to enjoy your meal. Consider the ways your seemingly simple trip to the market affected the environment.Driving to and from the store contributed carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. The electricity required to light the store was powered by coal, the mining of which ravaged an ecosystem. The salad ingredients were grown on a

farm treated with pesticides that washed into local s treams, poisoning fish and aquatic plants (which help keep the air clean). The chicken was grown on a massive factory farm a long distance away, where animal waste produced toxic levels of atmospheric methane. Getting the goods to the store required trucks, trains and more trucks,All of which emitted carbon.Even the smallest human actions initiate environmental change. How we heat our homes and power our electronics, how we get around, what we do with our garbage, where our food comes from -- all of these put a strain on the environment beyond what it's designed to support.Taken at a

societal level, human behavior changes the environment in dramatic ways. We hurt the environment in more ways than we could possibly imagine. Misguided construction, irrigation and mining can deface the natural landscape and disrupt important ecological processes. Aggressive fishing and hunting can deplete entire stocks of species. Human migration can introduce alien competitors to native food chains. Greed can lead

to catastrophic accidents and laziness to environmentally destructive practices. Its our nature. We have to save it.We can't stop using resources but at least we can alter the usage.

We listen music, we love music and everybody does. But you might have confronted people who listen to music which you don’t like. Have you wondered why this happens? This happens because of different interest in GENRE. Most people pronounce genre wrong. It is pronounced as “'ZHänr?”. People from different backgrounds and cultures have different taste in genres. Music genre - or simply genre - refers to the style of music. GENREROCK MUSIC: Rock music has been a volatile, unpredictable creature that has constantly redefined and reinvented itself since its emergence in the late 1940s. Not surprisingly, then, it can be extremely difficult to apply a straightforward definition to such a restless musical format. rock music can generally be described as hard-edged music performed with electric guitars, bass, and drums and usually accompanied by lyrics sung by a vocalist. JAZZ MUSIC: Jazz Developed among the black community of the Southern US. This can be called a C las s i ca l ve r s ion o f b lues music..Jazz is often performed by ensembles, with importance laid on

thSeptember 14 ’ 2013 was a notable day in the records of Jagran Lakec i ty Unive r s i ty a s an exceptional colloquium was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai,Professor of Law, National

Law University, Delhi. Prof Bajpai has been broadening services and consultancy to several Universities and state/union public service commissions. He is on the Board of editors of many national and international journals and is also the member of many key professional

o r g a n i z a t i o n s . H o l d i n g specializations in Criminology and Criminal Justice, he was invited to deliver a lecture on Media Trial. . He listed five severe impact Those were:

Impact On The Accused: Excessive publicity in the media about a suspect or an accused before trial overlooks a fair trial and results in characterizing him as a person who had indeed committed the crime. By such a behavior of media, someone who should be assumed innocent is presumed as a criminal leaving all his rights and liberty abandoned

Impact On The Witness: Media confuses the witness and witnesses k e e p s w i t c h i n g t h e i r views every now and then. Due to lack of accuracy and content of news, a witness is unable to decide how he is supposed to react for the given situation. A witness is highly influential but we can’t say who has to be blamed for his quick change of opinions.

Impact On The Victim: Media plays a role of Watch dog and brings the facts in case of a victim. By acting as a mirror for the society, it brings only what is happening around and make the legislatures and government answerable for the

act of them.

Impact On The Advocate: Today, courts are under political influence.

Lawyers know that they are being watched by the world. The media creates a series of cataleptic pressures on an advocate in a high- profile trial. Such lawsuits are not just decided in the courts; but also in the court of public opinion. Advocates work with reporters on their stories to ensure accurate reporting and then present cases in the court

Impact On The Judge: The ultimate force of a fair trial comes on the sovereign of the legal system; the judge. The media cannot be granted a liberty in the court proceedings by threatening the judge. We must understand that judges too are human beings.

They are not only making a decision for themselves, but they are making a statement for their family, co-workers, community, and society as a whole. The seminar gave the listeners a bolt from the blue and at the same time it stimulated them with a query- Are Journalists really trying to become Judges?

The answer still needs to see the sights and that is why the World of Media has so much left to explore.

Kuldip Nayar was born at Sialkot, Punjab, British India (now in Pakistan) on 14 August 1923 to Gurbaksh Singh and Pooran Devi. He completed his B.A. (Hons.) from the Forman Christian College Lahore and LL.B. from the Law College Lahore. In 1952, he studied journalism from the Medill School

of Journalism, Northwestern University on a scholarship.

Background in profession: Kuldip Nayar witnessed the fall down of faith between Hindus and Muslims and he was forced to migrate to Delhi. His first job as a young journalist was of an Urdu press reporter in an Urdu Daily called

August) every year at the Attari-Wagah India-Pakistan border near Amritsar. He has been working to liberate Indian prisoners in Pakistan and Pakistani prisoners in India, who have comple ted the i r condemnations, but have not been set free.He headed India’s foremost news agency; UNI and worked as a mainstream journalist. Later, he started his syndicate column, ‘Between the Lines’. He has also written columns and editorials for over 80 newspapers in 14 languages including The Daily Star, The Sunday Guardian, The News (Pakistan), Express Tribune (Pakistan), Dawn (Pakistan).

A Kuldip Nayar kept floating between Journalism and Politics all his life. As a political commentator, he has written his views freely on most politically current issues. He has supported the movement of Anna Hazare and rebuked the Pakistan Government for not apologizing for the army violence in East Pakistan in 1971 that led to the formation of Bangladesh, and for allowing drugs to be smuggled into India. He served as the former editor of the Statesman in Delhi, former managing editor of the United News of India news agency, former correspondent of the London Times, former media advisor (Information officer) to the late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. government returned, Nayar was asked to leave the Indian Express. After 1980, he got retired from active journalism and turned into a columnist mostly covering Political issues which also displayed his sensitivity towards the poor. He became India’s most dynamic journalist in the field of political issues and human rights activists. He is the author of 15 books, including "Beyond the Lines”, "Distant Neighbours: A Tale of the Subcontinent”, "India after Nehru", "Wall at Wagah, India-Pakistan Relationship", "The Judgement" and "India House"; most of them about India-Pakistan as we notice.

Reporting Style: Kuldip Nayar kept himself in and out of politics and journalism which clearly reflects his style of reporting. As a means to get secret information, he cleverly joined as an information officer under Lal Bahadur Shastri and erected a great deal of contacts which helped him in future. With power, there is always a hangover of respect. He swallowed stuff at times and did not validate the purpose of journalism. During the Janta party rule, poor Kuldip Nayar was called a ‘social climber’ (pronounced ‘so-sull climber’) for accepting a high commissionership from VP Singh for his self gains. He then switched to being a politician from a journalist as he was highly influenced by power.

Anjam. He was arrested towards the end of the Indian Emergency (1975 - 77).. He was appointed High Commissioner to Great Britain in 1990 and nominated to the upper house of Indian Parliament, Rajya Sabha in August 1997. Since 2000, Nayar has been a peace activist to light candles on the Independence days of Pakistan and India (14/15

His repor t ing e th ics were superseding the codes of conduct that any media should have. During his interview with Pakistan’s father of nuclear bomb (A.Q. Khan), Nayar Lured-Lied-Flattered Dr. A.Q. Khan and ultimately made him admit the nuclear bomb conspiracy. It was a smart move but manipulation and duplicity was against the media ethics. All he was trying to know in that interview was whether they have it or not (Nuclear Bombs) but the way he did it was wrong. Justifying to this attempt, Nayar felt that the sole aim of any reporter is to bring out the news. How a journalist does his job was not Nayar’ s equation instead the out come was his only focus. He did things which were right for his country. Kuldip Nayar has always stood for the freedom of press and journalism of courage and in his autobiography, says: ‘The newspaper is a great power, but just as a n unchained torrent of !water submerges the countryside and devastates crops, even so an uncontrolled pen serves but to destroy. If control is from withoutt proves more poisonous than want of control. It can be profitable only when exercised from with in.’

their ability to play off each other, and improvise ex tempore. The improvisational style of Jazz links it to the Indian Classical music, which

also values improvisation over repetition of set melodies.

This intrinsic commonality has produced numerous collaborations

between artists. Pt. Ravi Shankar.WESTERN CLASSICAL : Western classical music is categorized by period: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern. The cutoffs of the periods aren't strictly defined, but the convention is clear; The Medieval period ran till t h e e a r l y 1 5 t h c e n t u r y, Renaissance till the 1600s, Baroque till mid-1700s, Classical till the early 1800s, Romantic till the 1900s, when it gave way to the Modern. Western classical music really came into its own in the baroque and classical periods, graced by masters such as Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.REGGAE: Reggae music has its roots in a Jamaican music style called Ska, based on R&B, Jazz and Caribbean musical traditions. The orchestra is the important part in reggae performances. Reggae is an instrumentation-based genre rather than a vocals-based genre, since with the right instruments; a 'reggae version' of any song can be quite easily made.

People in India need to broaden their taste of music and try new Genres.
