Senior Citizen Specific; Age 55 and older Goodwill Industries offers senior citizens job-

training services and programs o Keystone Area offers seniors the chance to learn new job skills such

as using the computer  

o The Senior Community Service Employment Program aids people 55 and older to receive job skills training needed to secure employment Provides subsidized, part-time paid job training A person trains an average of 20 hours a week The trainee is paid the highest in federal, state, or local minimum

wage while training at non-profit and public facilities such as Goodwill stores and warehouses Local day-care centers senior community centers schools Hospitals (Blackwell, 2016).

o The Senior Community Service Employment Program offers programs to help older adults maintain financial independence: Financial Coaching

Adult Day Services ("Goodwill Day Services Programs“), (n.d.) Some Goodwill facilities provide day services for individuals with disabilities

a citizen of the United States.   Programs Offered

Youth Services Population Servedo Youth from 12 to 24

  Program Goalso Goodwill strives to improve literacy and build social development through mentoring programs and

workshops for youth. Their aim is to provide meaningful work related experience to prepare youth for the real world.

  Programs Offered Restoration Program (Arizona)o Ages 18-24o Provides hands-on employment while learning basic skills (Harriston, 2016). Goodwill Good Guides (New Jersey)o youth 12-17 with transition into productive careers, Helps teens finish schoolo Provides mentoring services ("Goodwill ", 2016) Requires satisfactory school attendance and behavior - Career Leadership Academy for Youth (CLAY) (North Carolina)

o Ages 14-21 with Life Skills Development o Vocational Coaching &Academic Support

Veterans and Military Families;   Goodwill Industries offered Veterans and Military Families job-training services and

programs o Central Ohio Area offers Veterans the chance to connect to civilian life. o Goodwill offers education; training and services that prepare Veterans for a new career

and help family members find competitive jobs within the community. 

o The Good Choice Program offered for Veterans and their families is a great program that allows Veterans to connect to civilian life.

 o The Good Choice Program provides Veterans and their families :

Individuals with Criminal Background Population Served

o Inmates and returning citizens which includes men, women and young adults in the criminal justice system; also persons with a criminal convictions who are not incarcerated.

Program Goalso Goodwill seeks to support those seeking employment but have challenges reestablishing themselves in the community

and entering the workforce. ("Find a Job", 2016).

Prisoner Re-Entry

Population Servedo Men and women with criminal convictions in the Goodwill Industries of the Valleys area including 31 counties in 13

cities throughout the United States.

• Assistance with achieving long term goals to obtain and maintain regular employment and freedomo Job readiness educationo Resource mapping

o Job search supporto Interview coaching and resume development

• Additional Services

Pre – Release Services

Population Servedo Inmates; both men, women who are ready to get their life back on track prior to release.

Program Goals – Goodwill seeks to be proactive in getting participants a head start to

become successful in their pursuit to improve areas in their lives. o Goodwill’s aim is to prepare those currently incarcerated a chance to develop a variety of

work ready skills and abilities their aim is to prepare inmates to attain their pre- employment goals to become employable once release The individual goals of each participant is to gain and improve basic life-skills and obtain necessary documentation.
