Second Draft

Firstly, I selected a background fill (grey) and used the paint bucket tool and

clicked the blank page.

Page 3: Construction of Table Of Contents

The first image is a picture that I took to run through each page. The second image is the transformation

made when increased the . I increased the Brightness to +27 because it illuminated the page more. Then, I

applied Black/White to enhance the brightness evermore.

Page 4: Construction of Table Of Contents

I incorporated the same text for the Contents Page. I used the Punk Kid font which I researched online and found on a website called http://www.1001fonts.com/. I chose this font because it

really features the elements of punk rock. I added two effects; Inner Glow and Outer Glow.

I transmitted the font to the contents page and it appeared as shown below.

I experimented with different effects but I really liked the appearance with the Inner Glow and Outer Glow because it made it

more alerting and drew a real amount of attention.

Generating the Sub - Image

According to the grunge requirements, they undermine perfection so I used the snipping tool and cut around the outline of the model, it gave me a messy obscure effect which really

enhanced the black white more.

After that, I selected the paint bucket tool and selected the black colour, then I drew out a rectangular shape because this will be the area I will place the feature list.

Page 7: Construction of Table Of Contents

This feature tab was produced on PowerPoint, I achieved this by selecting the shapes option and searching for the

block arrows features and I chose the first one.

I had to rotate the arrow and by transforming it to 18 degrees.

I formatted the shape by changing to no fill, then

to a orange border also, I changed the line style so

it would enhance the arrow.

Page 8: Construction of Table Of Contents

I created the arrow using publisher, I chose the Block Arrow option and selected the

first option (red box). Then, once drew out the arrow I right clicked and I formatted

the arrow because I wanted to enhance the appearance.

Here, I wanted to include a page number with a banner that was outlandish. By achieving this I chose the 12 star feature. I the

formatted shape with a different line style because it drew more

attention to the design. I changed the page number (3) to

a different colour (Gold).

Page 9: Construction of Table Of Contents

I decided to include rectangular boxes which will separate the

content pages. I did this by selecting the rectangle tool and mapped out where I wanted it

to go.

I produced these banners on publisher. I formatted the shape and selected yellow for the line colour. After that, so I right

clicked the shape and clicked ‘Edit Text’. I typed the page numbers with using the font stencil with a font size of

The contents listed differ with text, hues of grey and sizes. For ‘Upcoming Events’ is used the font Stencil and set the size to 34 then, for ‘Pearl Jam Concert Page 3’ I used Stencil again with the same font size but the font colour is light grey. For, ‘Reviews’ I set the font at Stencil with the same font size but a darker grey and for the Interview page it’s the same not

including the font colour which is a darker grey. However, the last content listing- below GIG GUIDE the text is different to the rest of the content. The

font setting for that listing is Century Gothic with a font size of 18.

Setting the Background

Again, I set the background with

a grey fill. This grey fill is the border that is

Again, the changes of the background. The

effects is used to achieve the punk vibe.

Page 12: Construction of Table Of Contents

Generating The Font I didn't alter the font because I liked the consistency of the feature; how the colours are bold and make a

statement and the yellow represents a warning sign

After

Page 13: Construction of Table Of Contents

Here, I inserted a black box because I wanted to enhance the text when entered. I searched the left tool bar and I selected the Gradient tool bar.

Page 14: Construction of Table Of Contents

Here, I had to inserted a quote from a famous Nirvana track (Lithium). “I got a bomb in my temple that is going to explode”. I carefully achieved this by zooming in the text and I separated the black font with the

white font.

I also set the text at Italics because it was easier for me to distinguish what letter stops at

the given colour.

Page 15: Construction of Table Of Contents

By producing this convention I had to select a shape and I chose a ‘Rounded Rectangle’

after, I right clicked the shape selected format Shape then, I chose to a yellow colour for a

solid fill then I wanted to incorporate text so I right clicked the shape and clicked ‘Edit Text’.

‘LITHIUM! DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR FOR JUST £2 PER MONTH!’ is all in capital letters

and underlined.

This font was originally horizontal but I tilted it to give it an edgy appeal. The font I used was Stencil

and I set the font size at 54.

Get! Get!

This is a very significant element to the magazine which I forgot to add to the second

draft. I created this by clicking on the text option and then clicked on where I wanted to

place is and types the issue number which consists a white fill with the font size at 34

and the font is Franklin Gothic type.

Here, I added a black filled thin box by click on the Rectangle tool and drew out where I wanted it ( below the title page

and above the plug). I used the transformation tool to adjust the box

because I wanted the length and height to be perfect.

I added a thin yellow rectangular box which appears below the features listings and above the quote. As mentioned already I selected the

rectangle tool and mapped out where I wanted it to go.

This is the end result of my Table Of Contents.
