Learning Goals

• We will learn how to analyze the importance of quote to the larger text

• We will learn how to cite and reference from a text

• We will apply our knowledge of quotes to various representations of interpretation

Tagul

people to closely observe and examine the specific words from quotes, ideas or whole texts.

• Word Clouds create an image using words you have typed for the word cloud to include, the larger the word, the more importance it could be believed to have.

How to Use and Access Tagul• Begin by signing up for free to the website.• Next start by viewing your homescreen as

shown below.• All your saved clouds will be here every time

you log in.

Creating Your Cloud on Tagul• After clicking “create your cloud” you will be

brought to the screen below• If it is not already here, click “Words” this is

where you will input the words/text that you want to use in your cloud.

Personalizing Your Cloud• Choose the shape you desire your cloud to

be in once you click “visualize” you will be able to see your cloud and change it as you please.

Finally,• After you have added the text, chosen your

font, layout, shape, etc. Click “Visualize”. Save the image and print it if you like. You can move the image to any social media or file location.

In Case You Can,

• Check out the Tagxedo website, as it is the top word cloud creator in the Google search engine.

• In countries where a VPN is needed, Tagul is a great substitute.

How to Use and Access Tagxedo • After accessing the website, click “create”• On the left is a menu with many different

options

Choosing the Text• Changing parts of your word cloud can be done here• We are focusing on the “Load…” feature at the very

top of the menu.• When you click it, a small text screen will appear for

you to enter the text you wish to use for your word cloud.

Finally,• From the menu, you can choose the entire

layout, format and style of your word cloud, the second most important feature on this menu is “Shape”, choose the one you feel is most appropriate for your activity.
