CREATING MY MAGAZINE FRONT COVER

To create my magazine name I went on the website www.dafont.co.uk to create a font which I liked. I chose the ‘Budmo font’ as it created quite a hollywood feel. I took a snapshot of title and opened it in Photoshop to get rid of the white background by using the magic wand tool

I wanted the image for my poster to be very simple with the focus being solely on the main character. The picture is of the protagonist in the trailer where she looks very frightened. I edited the image on Photoshop changing the lighting and making the colours darker so that the main focus was of the actresses facial expression.

Before constructing my magazine I created a layout to have a clear understanding about how I was going to create my magazine. Although the layout is very basic after conducting research I found that most film magazines are. I decided to have the image fill up the whole page so that people understood what the main article of the magazine was going to be. Most article’s have the barcode and price at the bottom of the page, I have changed this convention to make the magazine a bit different as I also want to add some images along the bottom of the page displaying images of the character from the film ‘Ouija’

Now I will create my final magazine after all of the planning
