Organisation of Content (p22)
• “Working Mathematically” Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving and Reasoning descriptions are from AC
• Table linking Stage 5 pathways to Stage 6 (i.e. the important topics for stage 6 courses)
• Additional content has been reviewed and restructured
• Cross-curriculum areas are from ACARA, but the descriptions have been written by BoS as to what they might look like for Maths. Some have not been included (e.g. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders / ASIA)

Presentation of Content
• Presented in stages (except for 7-10 life skills)• Stage 5 is treated as one stage (i.e. 5.1, 5.2 and
5.3 is all together for each substrand• Each stage is arranged by the 3 AC strands and
then substrands• Generally content is in the stages prescribed by
ACARA (some has been move earlier, e.g. Pythagoras’ Theorem has been moved to Stage 4, but is in Year 9 AC) – there was too much content in Stage 5, but not enough in stage 4
• Stage 4 and 5 substrands have been strengthened

Feedback
• Please give your feedback
• My feedback:– Please write AC code next to AC content
descriptor. This will allow for easy reference to content descriptors and searching the internet for resources will make it much easier!
– Please use ACARAs icons for cross curriculum priorities rather than [N] [CCT] etc.
