Defining eLiteracy

Most definitions of e-literacy or digital literacy cover three ‘abilities’: The ability to use digital technology,

communication tools or networks to locate, evaluate, use and create information.

The ability to understand and use information in multiple formats from a wide range of sources when it is presented via computers.

The ability to perform tasks effectively in a digital environment.

Modern model is students collaborate and work together to construct their own knowledge from the resources they are provided and have access to. Here is a model of a modern "library" or now called "Learning Commons.”
