Aims1. investigate best practice in the design, functionality and

implementation of e-portfolio assessment systems2. recommend to the Society on functionality, processes and

procedures for implementation of a unified e-portfolio system for PEAT 1 & 2, traineeship and CPD

3. plan and implement a pilot with a variety of stakeholders4. report on pilot with a view to phased implementation of e-

portfolios in PEATS 1 & 2 across Scotland

Objectives1. identify appropriate open-source e-portfolio system2. describe possible administrative procedures to enable

PEAT 1 & 2 providers and training providers to use such e-portfolio systems; and to facilitate oversight of the assessment process and of the content of e-portfolio systems by the Society

3. describe types of data the Society may expect an e-portfolio to contain

4. set standards for assessment of e-portfolio data5. take account of the variety of training environments in

points 2-4 above
