ERASMUS+ GLAS PROJECT FIRST BROCHURE Teaching through comics. An alternative way to spread values and sensitize new generation on the problem related the fabrication of t-shirts. The CSC San Francesco started to work on the GLAS triangle platform performing a particular workshop with adults and children. It has been proposed 3 times during the Christmas Holidays. Starting from a presentation of the draft of the comics “The adventure of my t-shirt” pupils and adults take part in a particular workshop, discovering how many thousands km their t- shirts have made and knowing all the terrible aspects that there are behind the production. We used a t-shirt because it’s a common universal object, very easy to know, to study and help to better understand the global economy situation. WHY COMICS? We decide to produce a handmade comic because it’s the best way to communicate all these processes to pupils, catching their attention and inspiring their creativity. After the read of the comics the participants are divided in 2 group, one will colour and add text to the comic the other one will attend the workshop concerning old way to work textile fibres like canapé, lane, agave, broom, silk… A second workshop it’s focused on the production of comics, how to design it, story telling strategies, use of colours text and image.
