« Energy is the ability of a system to produce work »

Allah subjected whatever in heavens

and earth to us. Among what allah created

The turbine The turbine

Page 19: Energy past present and future

The turbine :Moved by water or vapor ,It rotates the axis on which it is fixed

Page 20: Energy past present and future

Alternator:this is the unit which produces electric currentit consists of an axis, a movable magnet and a fixed coil (bobbin)

Page 21: Energy past present and future

the movable magnet (rotor):

- it is composed of a series magnets glued on the driven wheel through the axis

Page 22: Energy past present and future

Electricity can be made using a very simple generator like this . If we spin a magnet around a coil of wire , electricity is made in the wire.

How do we make electricity ?

Page 23: Energy past present and future

If we connect a light bulb to the wires that come out of the generator this

electricity will light it up .

Non-Renewable EnergyNon-Renewable Energy

Page 25: Energy past present and future

- Advantages

- Disadvantages

Page 26: Energy past present and future

Advantages :

- Available in large quantities.- Burn easily producing a large energy that can be used to generate electricity and other important purposes such as cooking and heating.

- Easy to transport .

Page 27: Energy past present and future

Disadvantages :- leads to global warming, acid

rain and cause many lung diseases.

- Nuclear available but more

risks- Its cost linked to political

conditions of its production areas.

Page 28: Energy past present and future

Non-Renewable EnergyNon-Renewable Energy

Page 29: Energy past present and future

Non-Renewable EnergyNon-Renewable Energythese energy sources will disappear one day because their stocks on the earth are limited

GASIs often found in oil fields it is used as fuel in certain power plants

Page 31: Energy past present and future

Non-Renewable EnergyNon-Renewable Energy

COAL It is used in many power plants

Page 32: Energy past present and future

Non-Renewable EnergyNon-Renewable Energy

OILit is converted into fuel , it is also used in power stations and is used in the manufacture of plastics

Page 33: Energy past present and future

Non-Renewable Energy

Uranium This element is used as a fuel in nuclear power plants rectors of fission

- Advantages

- Disadvantages

Page 47: Energy past present and future

Advantages :- Protection of our health.- Reduction of poverty.- Secure new jobs- Reduction of pollution .- Reduction of global warming - Reduction in the number and intensity of natural disasters resulting from the global warming

- Do not form acid rain , which caused damage in all forms of life .- protection of all living organisms , particularly endangered .

- Conservation of Water and Fisheries

Advantages :

Page 48: Energy past present and future

Disadvantages :

- Intermittent sources.

- Distributed.- Need a new infrastructure for the transfer of power to the user .

- High cost.

Disadvantages :

Intermittent sources, that this energy does not abide by the 24 hours .. - Be distributed, that is, they are not concentrated in the big ah youngster should assemble - Need a new infrastructure for the transfer of power to the user - High cost, making the most of the countries are reluctant to invest large sums of money which, at the time it is available cheap sources like oil. Poor countries .. What do you do?

FUTURE ENERGY international promises:

Alerted by scientists, leaders of the world have realized little by little that they were all responsible for the state of the earth.

In agreeing, they proved better use of energy and make it cleaner

They turn large propellers these involve a generator, producing electricity natural

ITER This is an experimental reactor which will be built to achieve nuclear fusion Researchers would like to use this fusion to produce big quantities of energy on Earth

Page 53: Energy past present and future

Fuel cellResearchers are working to replace fossil fuel motors

The use of hydrogen in a fuel cell would be less polluting

But it needs hydrogen

Page 54: Energy past present and future

the solar-tower

When the air is heated under this solar panels , it will go up the chemnyof 1km high this creates a strong current of air which turns turbines and it produces electricity, A plant of this type using solar energy, will besoon put in the Australian desert
