How did you attract/address your audience on the front cover?

I to use first person pronoun to relate and address my audience. “…Funk You.” This way I could create some sort of synthetic personality. Meaning creating a “fake” relationship with them through the mode of address.

however, having said this, I tried not to over do this. So I subsequently kept the use of pronouns on the front cover to the very minimum. So I used more direct statements rather than first person pronouns.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing your front cover?

Through using Photoshop, to manipulate my images I have been able to learn to use more advanced image adjustments such as curves, channel mixer and noise.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Preliminary task: Full product:

Page 9: Evaluation of my funk magazine front cover 2

Since the making of my preliminary task, I think I have learnt a lot more about manipulating images to suit my magazine genre. This is thought the use of props and background. These make my magazine much more believable.

I have also noticed that I have learnt more about magazine codes and conventions which I applied in the making of my front page, contents page and double page spread unlike in my preliminary task

Since the making of my preliminary task I have become much more aware of the use of colours and how to link the front page and the contents page; through the use of a colour scheme.

I have so been able to put my creativity and individuality to my product. This is through the use of original images and computer generated images on my products. These images are better due to the use of props and costume to suit the genre: funk

Also, I have been able to use other programs other than Photoshop (such as indesign)to produce my product. Due to this, I was able to lay out and design my product neatly.
