Filming Schedule

Session 1

Session 1: November 7th (4pm – 7pm)Location: Boraston BankWeather forecast: sunny, cloudy, possibility of showers.

Our first filming session will take place in a field just outside of Burford town. It is local to us, meaning that if we must, we can re-film here with ease. Boraston Bank lies on a public footpath, meaning that we have permission to visit the field to film.

Whilst here, we will be filming the section of the video where the main character is wandering around in a field/wooded area, after running away from home. We feel that November 7th is an ideal date to film here as the weather is likely to be clouded and dull. This will help in connoting a depressive, lonely mood within our shots.

OrganisationOrganisation of actors and props needed for filming session

I have confirmed with Georgia that she is able to film on this date. I have also asked her to wear suitable clothing for the genre, and have also confirmed with our friend Josh that we are able to borrow his overnight bag for filming with. This means that everything both Jamie and I will need for our first session is sorted out correctly in advance.

Risk AssessmentAs we will be filming outside, and have noted that the weather forecast may include showers, we are prepared for if rain does occur. We must be weary that rain could damage our electrical equipment, forcing us to pause filming.

The weather conditions may also affect the condition of the field too. Mud and slippery grass may pose a problem while filming, making slipping a hazard to us. We must ensure that we are prepared to re-schedule if this is the case.

Session 2

Session 2: November 13th (5:30pm – 6:30pm)Location: The Old Vicarage, Farlow (kitchen, hallway, stairway, bathroom)Weather forecast: irrelevant – filming will be done indoors.

The second filming session will take place inside a property a mile from my house. It is local to us, meaning that if we must, we can re-film here with ease. The house is owned by Steve, a family friend who has been cast in the music video as the father role.

Whilst here, we will be using the kitchen to film the first part of the narrative. This is the dinner scene. Then, we will be using the stairway and bathroom to film the section where the main character calls her ex-boyfriend.

OrganisationThe organisation of the use of this property for filming was made by myself over the phone. I phoned in advance to ask the homeowner’s permission, and again to confirm closer to the date. We were only allowed to have around an hour to film on this date, as the homeowners have busy schedules. However we feel that because we have planned our shots and shared our directing ideas with the actors involved, we have sufficient time to get these shots filmed professionally.

Props we will need for this scene:• Overnight bag • Mobile phone (Georgia’s own)• Food (pasta, £5 Tesco)• Cutlery (provided by homeowner)

Risk AssessmentWe will be filming in the kitchen, stairway, bedroom and bathroom. Of these, the places that pose the most potential dangers are the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom both have sources of running water from taps, meaning that slipping may be a hazard to our safety and to the safety of electrical equipment. To avoid this, we will ensure that all taps are turned off whilst we film and that no spills have occurred.

Session 3

Session 3: November 13th (7pm – 8:30pm)Location: 4 Lanes End, Farlow (bedroom)Weather forecast: irrelevant – filming will be done indoors.

The third filming session will take place inside my own house. As it is my own property, we are able to refilm here easily. We decided that as my house is less than a mile from our previous location, and that Georgia will need to be wearing the same outfit, that we can film session 2 and 3 on the same evening. Whilst here, we will be filming the section of the music video where Georgia packs an overnight bag in order to run away from home.

OrganisationThe organisation of the use of this property for filming was made by myself and Jamie in person.

Props we will need for this scene:• Overnight bag • Clothing to pack into bag (my own

clothing)

Risk AssessmentAs the actress needs to appear rushed and hurried in this scene, it is possible she may trip if something were to go wrong. Wires from our electrical equipment or dropped clothes may cause a trip hazard. We will have to ensure that we are wary and cautious of potential dangers on the day.

Session 4

Session 4: November 18th (10am – 11:30am)Location: Ludlow College (photography dark room)Weather forecast: irrelevant – filming will be done indoors.

Our fourth filming session will take place in the photography dark room at our college. We are able to film and re-film here as both myself, Jamie and actress Georgia attend Ludlow College. We were given permission by the college Photography department to use this room for filming.

In this session, we will be filming the performance section of the music video. We feel that the use of a simple, plain environment for the performance will contrast effectively from the busy narrative storyline. We feel that the interesting colours of lighting in the dark room are effective and will contrast successfully from our narrative section.

OrganisationThe organisation of the use of this location for filming was made by myself and Jamie in person with the department tutors. We also agreed with Georgia in person the date of the session and it was agreed in advance.

Props we will need for this scene:• Lighting (in room)• Dress (provided by myself)

Risk AssessmentAs we will be using a spotlight within this section rather than full, highkey lighting, much of the room will be in darkness. This may pose a danger in terms of tripping over when not being able to see very easily. To ensure this does not occur, we will turn the main lights on every time someone needs to move around to find something in the room.

Session 5

Session 5: November 19th (9:30am – 11am)Location: Ludlow College (photography dark room)Weather forecast: irrelevant – filming will be done indoors.

After having filmed our fourth session in the dark room, we felt that the section needed to be re-done. We found that some of the miming in the section was not believable, and that the performance given was not ‘powerful’ enough. To ensure we have plenty of good quality footage available for us to use within the making of our music video, we decided to re-film the section a day later, on November the 19th. We agreed on this date with Georgia in person and after letting her see the footage we recorded, she agreed that she was able to give a better performance when re-filmed.

Session 6

Session 6: November 21st (12:30pm – 1pm)Location: Camp Lane, LudlowWeather forecast: dry, cloudy

This filming session takes place on Camp Lane in Ludlow. This location is across the road from our college, meaning we are able to film and refilm easily. The weather forecast for this date says that it will be cloudy yet dry for the majority of the day. This is ideal, as the cloudiness of the location will help in portraying a dull, unhappy tone. This section of the music video is where we see the ex-boyfriend, played by Phil, receiving a text message from Georgia. This street is a fairly neutral location, as we didn’t want to place Phil in an elaborate location. This is because he needs to stand out from a mundane background so that the audience are focussed and in-touch with his actions.

OrganisationThe organisation of the use of this location for filming was made by myself and Jamie in person. We also agreed with Phil over messaging the date of the session and it was agreed in advance.

Props we will need for this scene:• Mobile phone (Phil’s own)

Risk AssessmentWe will be filming this section along a road. Although the road is relatively quiet and unused, we will ensure that we are aware of our surroundings at all times and that if a car has to pass us, that we are able to pause filming and stand to the side to let it pass safely.

Session 7

Session 7: November 21st (6:30pm – 8pm)Location: Burford, Tenbury Wells (streets and pavements) Weather forecast: dry, cloudy

This filming session takes in Burford, Tenbury Wells. This is where my project partner, Jamie lives. This makes it an ideal area to film in, as it means he is familiar with the area. The weather forecast for this date says that it will be cloudy yet dry for the majority of the day. Later on, it is expected to rain. Again in this section, dull weather is ideal in creating a depressive mood. This section of the music video is where we see Georgia wandering home at night time. We will be filming from 6:30pm to 8pm. Being November, it will be fairly dark at this point, however we will have street light to ensure our shots are visible and of good quality.

OrganisationThe organisation of the use of this location for filming was made by myself and Jamie in person. We also agreed with Georgia over messaging the date of the session and it was agreed in advance.

Props we will need for this scene:• Coat (provided by Jamie)• Overnight bag (provided by Josh)

Risk AssessmentWe will be filming this section in a town at night time. This means that cars and other road users may not be able to see us as easily. To try to avoid this, we will be carrying a torch with us. We will also stay away from main roads and instead, film in quieter housing estates. We will be filming along the street where Jamie lives, so we are aware that it is a safe place to film.

In the event of rain, we will stop filming and return indoors to ensure our equipment is safe.
