• Slide 2: Hook/attention grabber

Transition into a story about a college graduate in the similar process of job seeking, and the responses they get from employers more interested in their experience than their knowledge and skills. Highlight the catch 22 of this demographic in the job market... • Slide 4: What’s in it for your audience? Explain why your topic is important or worth discussing.

In the current economy, 2.4 million people with college degrees are unemployed. By having interns, companies can train employees, this not only offers them on the job experience, it creates jobs. The reality is that even the internships offered are typically only offered to college students before they graduate. This is often not available to everyone, and/or not enough time in any field to be considered on the job experience when seeking a paid position.

• Slide 5: Why should your audience listen to you? Explain your ethos (personal experience, expertise, and credibility).

I’ve been declined for a job opportunity several times because of no experience. **** explain more here. Talk about your skill sets in regards to producing music and use of technology, and networking etc and sell yourself as to why your skills and knowledge SHOULD afford you the opportunity to GAIN experience even though you have little real work experience...
