WHAT IS A QR CODE
QR or Quick Response Codes are a type of
two-dimensional barcode that can be
read using smartphones and dedicated
QR reading devices, that link directly to
text, emails, websites, phone numbers
and more
FUN WAYS TO USE QR CODES IN EDUCATION
1.Making notes.
An easy way to post notes and
allow children easy access to them at
all times.
2. WORD DOCUMENTS
Add QR Codes to Word Documents to
allow students to check their answers
after their own attempt.
Who was Henry VIII 4th wife?
…………………………………………………………………………………
What year was the battle of Hastings?
………………………………………………………………………………….

3. DETAILS OF HOMEWORK
Post the details of any homeworks in QR
codes and make students scan them
before they leave the class. No excuse
for not knowing what the homework was.
4. ASSISTANCE IF HELP NEEDED
Provide the students with an exercise with
this in the corner in case they need help
it can lead them to a website of page to
help them understand
5. SCAVENGER HUNTS
Introduce fun new activities like scavenger
hunts. Only once they have solved the
first problem in the QR code can they
move onto the next one. Just like
Woodward academy.

6. QUIZZES AND MINI TESTS
Before
introducing a
new topic,
provide
students with a
‘What do you
already know’
quiz
individually
through a QR
code.
