GUNS N’ ROSES

§  Guns  N’  Roses  is  an  American  hard  rock  band  of  Los  Angeles.    

§  Their  music  was  influenced  by  other  groups  like:    

FORMATION §  Guns  N’  Roses  is  a  hard  rock  band  of  Los  Angeles.  It  was  created  in  1885  by  Hollywood  Rose  members  Axl  Rose,  Izzy  Stradlin  and  the  L.A.  Guns,  Tracii  Guns,  Ole  Beich  and  Rob  Gardner.  Then,  Tracii  was  fired  and  replaced  by  slash,  Beich  by  Duff  Mckagan  and  Rob  Garner  by  Steven  Adler.

AXL ROSE

§  He  was  born  in  1962  in  Indiana,  he’s  a  famous  singer  and  he  is  the  lider  of  the  group.Nowadays,  he’s  the  only  remaining  member  of  the  old  band.      

SLASH

§  He  was  born  in  July    1965  in  England,  he’s  one  of  the  most  famous  guitarrists  in  the  world.  He  had  other  groups  aOer  Guns  N’  Roses  and  he  recorded  several  albums.    

STEVEN ADLER

§  He  was    born  in  January    1965  in  Cleveland.  He  was  the  battery  of  Guns  N’  Roses  with  whom  he  recorded  two  albums.  But  after  that,  Axl  fired  him  because  he  couldn’t  quit  drugs.  

§   He  was  replaced  by  drummer  Matt  Sorum    

Duff Mckagan.    

§  He  was  born  in  1964  in  Seatle.  He  played  the  bass  in  Guns  N’  Roses  and  aOer  he  was  played  the  guitar  in  the  group  loaded.  ???  

Izzy Stradlin    

§  He  was  born  in  1962  in  Inndiana,  he  was  the  rhythm  guitarist  of  the  hard  rock  band  and  he  was  the  principal  composer.  He  was  a  childhood  friend  of  Axl.    

ALBUMS

§  First,  the  group  recorded  a  EP  1985  with  four  songs,  but  the  album  sold  10.000  copies.  The  name  was  Live  Like  a  Suicide.    

APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION

§  This  album  was  recorded  in  1987,  This  is  the  best  album  of  Guns  N’  Roses,  this  album  has  some  of  the  most  famous  rock  songs.  The  album  sold  60  million  copies  in  all  the  world.    

G’N’R LIES

§  It  was  the  second  album  of  the  group,  it  was  recorded  in  1988.  The  album  sold  13  million  copies.    

USE YOUR ILLUSION - I AND II

§  This  album  was  recorded  in  1991,  in  this  album  the  batery  Steven  was  replaced  by  MaZ  Sorum  and  a  new  member,  the  keyboard  palyer  Dizzy  Reed,  joined  the  group  .  In  the  tour  of  these  albums,  Izzy  leO  the  group.  

§  The  first  album  sold  26  million  copies  and  the  second  sold  24  million.  

THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?    

§  In  1983  the  group  recorded  an  album  with  versions  of  punk  songs,  the  album  sold  6  million  copies  at  that  moment.    

CHINESE DEMOCRACY

§  This  is  the  last  album  of  Guns  N’  Roses,  it  was  recorded  in  2008  with  the  new  group.    The  album  sold  5  million  copies.  The  music  of  this  album  is  metal  industrial.    

AWARDS

§  From  1989  to  1993  Guns  N  'Roses  were  nominated  for  the  American  Music  Awards,  the  Grammy  Awards,  the  MTV  Video  Music  Awards  and  the  World  Music  Awards  20  ames  and  won  9  awards.  On  April  14,  2012  they  entered  the  Hall  of  Fame  Rock.  

THE SEPARATION OF THE GROUP

§  AOer  the  publicaaon  of  G’N’R  lies,  Axl  fired  Steven  for  his  problems  with  drugs,  and  he  was  replaced  by  MaZ  Sorum.    

§  In  the  tour  Use  your  illusion,  Izzy  leO  the  group  because  he  had  a  lot  of  problems  with  Axl.  He  was  replaced  by  Gilby  Clark.    

§  In  1994  Gilby    was  fired  and  a  month  later  Salsh  and  Duff  leO  the  band  because  they  had  a  lot  of  problems  with  Axl.    

THE NEW GROUP
