How to create a website with the use of

“freewebs.com”

Ok—Now, How do we get started?

• Have a topic or purpose in mind, and decide on a title for your website.

Step #1-- Sign up for freewebs.com

• You will simply need to enter your email address to join, nothing more than that.

• Remember that your account name will also be the name of your website, so choose both accordingly.

Step #2—Choose the settings

• Choose the settings that you want to apply to your site. (comments, guests, etc)

Step #3-- Choose a template

• There are many templates to choose from, so pick one you like or something that matches with the theme and style that you want.

Step # 3 Several to choose from!

Step #4-- Start building your site

• Add pages. When you start you will get something that will let you automatically choose what pages you want, such as blogs, an "About Me" page, etc..

Step #5--Customize

• Customize your website any way you want. You can use the basic site rules to build your site. You can add widgets and customize your site page by page.

TIPS• Visit other Freewebs websites for more

information and more ideas on designing your website

• Give your site a consistent look and feel throughout so that it comes across as a set.

• It might be a good idea to have a “downloads” page. The maximum site is 1MB for downloads, so they could just be pictures, but keep it legal.

WARNINGS

• Don't make your site too decorative, as it is not always pleasing to the eye to use widgets excessively. But when you do add widgets use them for a good reason.

• Make sure you do not put anything offensive or copyrighted on a freewebs site or else it will get removed.
