So what’s up?
How did we do that?
Informationfrom Latin “informatio” (outline, concept, idea)
or “informare” (to shape, form, train, instruct, educate)
Information
Information is form.
Information
Information is form that shapes what is in your mind.
Form=Idea=Seeing
The old Greek word for “form” is “idea” (“eidós”).
Form=Idea=Seeing
“Eidós”(idea) comes from “idein” (which means: to see)....from Indogerman *wid-es-ya-, suffixed form of base *weid- "to see" (related: vision), which again is the same root as German “wissen” (to know) and English “wisdom”. The subconsciousness of Indogerman languages is one big crazy pyramid. (The first time the word idea was used in the sense of “result of thinking” was around 1640).
Ideas want to be seen.(Otherwise they’re just fantasies)
The Greeks weren’t kidding...
Information=Form=Idea
Seeing the form: getting the idea Evolve the form: develop the idea
Clear form: clear ideaClear idea: clear form
Forms evolve.
Innovationfrom Latin innovare "to renew or change," from in- "into" + novus "new".
What is new?
“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”
Ecclesiastes 1:9
Plato
“We do not learn; and what we call learning is only a process of recollection.”
Really?
Does technology prove that there is innovation?
There are cars, computers, penicillin and heart surgery. And we have landed on the moon. There is new stuff under the sun.
James Watt didn’t invented the steam engine.
Newcomen didn’t invent the steam engine.
And Aeolipile...? I don’t know...
...and Jobs didn’t invent tablets!
...or tablet computers!
Yes, of course, there are cycles, yes, there is
repetition, but you cannot deny that forms evolve.
Nothing new under the sun?
DNA evolves. When information evolves, forms evolve.
Nothing new under the sun?
There were dinosaurs, there were mammoths, there is evolution.
So can we innovate?
Learning is becoming more informed.Innovation is (always just) the next step in the evolution of forms.
There is nothing completely new. And there is nothing completely old.
So how do we innovate?
Creativity from Latin “creare” (to build, to create)
1. Gathering Information
“The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.”
Albert Einstein
“Everything you can imagine is real.”2. Vision
Pablo Picasso
“Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.”
3. Experience
Oscar Wilde
For Example... Writer.

3. Experience
Mozilla Labs“Difficult switch.”
Scott Thomas:“Black bars don’t work.”
Liz Danzico:“How do I edit document names?”
Dribbble“Horrible Logo!”
Twitter“Why not Writer?”
Ironically...
That was the original name...And it even had the dot.(October 2009). I had just completely forgotten about it.
Plato
“Didn’t I tell you?”
And this is how it came out...
Conclusion
1. Ideas are shapes.
2. Creativity is the power to shape(it needs imagination)
3. Innovation is evolved form.
One more thing...
There is no innovation without passion.
Thank You.
