What does the guideline account for.

The department of education in South Africa has published a document regarding teacher training that will be able to groom educators that will facilitate electronic learning for every child. The education system would love to incorporate ICT (information communication and technology) which is learning through electronic sources; in short it is called e-learning

Teacher competency strategies.

The teacher would be expected to enter with a level of computer literacy and is able to recognize electronic devices that will be helpful in learning

The teacher should have basic ICT terminology and the different types of ICT applications.

Benefits of ICT in the classroom

ICT in their lesson plans and for other administration matters like collecting data, which may be grades, attendance register, and number of learners.

The teacher has to be able to establish communication amongst her and the learners through e- mail, teach learners skills to do their assignments, projects, and presentations using various ICT applications

The department of education together with the department of basic education, have come up with national strategic plans to improve the quality of the education system by stressing annual assessments and regular basis checks by the department commissioners.

system made annually to keep good learning and teaching standards.

Well targeted interventions made available for poor performing schools or districts.

learners/ children have to attend grade R.

Special needs education will expand, improvements in equipment, support, and staff will be made.
