About the CourseThis program aims at sensitizing the participants to the concept, though, philosophy
and approach to management as well as providing them with an array of
quantitative, qualitative and statistical tools and techniques to improve productivity
and effectiveness. The program also exposes the participants to the major functions
and domain of management - the context in which management operates in
practices.
Meant for The course is designed for budding and practising managers. The participant group

FacultyThe classes (classroom and online) shall be conducted by the IIT Delhi faculty as well
as invited guest faculty from other academic institution and industry.
Course ContentThe contents are designed to over all major aspects of management and sensitizethe participants to the integrative nature of the management function. The courseconsists of eight modules of 30 hours each. The modules are as under:
Organizational Behaviour
Financial Accounting
Marketing Management
Quantitative Techniques
Statistics for Managerial Decision Making
Creative Problem Solving
Managerial Economics
Business Environment and Corporate Strategy
ScheduleThe course shall be delivered in Flexinet mode in three distinct phases:
Whereas Phase I and III shall be conducted in a physical classroom format at IIT
Delhi, Phase II shall be conducted online and the participants can attend the same
from their office, home or hostel.
The schedule for Phase III shall be announced after the start of the course.
Phase 1
July 15 - July 20, 2013
9 am to 7 pm(Regular classes on IIT Delhi
campus)
Phase 2
July 22 - Dec 14, 2013
Friday - Saturday 6 pm to 8 pm and 8 pm to 10 pm
(Online Classes)
Phase 3
Dec 16 - Dec 21, 2013
9 am to 7 pm(Regular classes on IIT Delhi
campus)
Selection ProcessThe selection shall be based on the applicant’s past academic performances, work experience,
if any, purpose of study, essay (topic given in the application form) and references. Due
weightage is given to each component. The decision of the selection committee shall be fixed
and binding.
Attendance RequirementThe attendance requirement will be a minimum of 75% of the classes actually held including all
three Phases.
Evaluation SchemeThe evaluation scheme for each module shall be announced by the faculty during Phase-I. It
shall consist of a combination of online tests, assignments, project work and an end -of-the-
course examination (to be conducted at the end of phase III).
Course FeesThe fee for the program shall be Rs. 90,000/-

application form along with a Demand draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of “Registrar IIT Delhi”
by Jun 28, 2013.

The selected candidates shall be informed of the decision by Jun 30, 2013. The list of selected
candidates shall also be available on the web site www.ifehe.com.
Online ClassesEach student shall be issued a username & password for logging in to the online virtual
classroom platform www.wiziq.com, at the time of the classes. He/she would need to have a
laptop/desktop computer with good internet connectivity.
AccommodationHostel/Guest House accommodation on IIT campus shall be provided to out-station students for
phases I and III (subject to availability). The same shall be available on a first-come-first serve
basis at nominal charges (this includes lodging charges and meals).
Rs. 300 per day for Hostel
Rs. 500 per day for USO
Rs. 750 per day for Guest House
CertificationAll successful students shall be awarded a certificate by CEP, IIT Delhi on completion of the
program.
