1. Images For Front Cover and Contents Page 2. Image 1, I would
like to use this image in my contents page because its an unusual
shot type this will grab my target audience. The model didnt know
that I took the shot, it also relates to one of my cover stories
and it does not affect the codes and conventions of a content page
image. This image is relatable to my target audience because my
college magazine is aimed at females and males. The female target
audience would like it because they are seeing female power on the
front cover and the male target audience would like this in the
content page because there is a female on the front. Image 2, I
like image 2 for my front cover because its just a simple shot but
effective shot that my target audience can relate to since its a
picture of a college student. Its a mid-shot shot but once cropped
in Photoshop it will me a close up/mid shot. This image is going to
be used as my main image because its a close up /mid shot which is
a convention for a front cover. The reasons why its conventional
for a front cover is that you have the model looking directly in
the camera which gives the effect to the target audience that they
are looking right at you! 3. Image 3, this image is going to be
used in my contents page because I like the simplicity of the shot
which to me makes it effect. Its also a representation of my target
audience because it shows stereotypically how they dress and what
they look like. It also draws the audience attention because they
model is looking right into the camera lens which makes the
audience take a close look a the image. Image 4, I want to use this
image with my contents page because it links directly to one of my
cover lines and its a mix's up the different shot types by having a
landscape mid shot than a portrait shot. I want to use this image
because its a direct representation of college life and things that
go on around college. E.g. Student elections. 4. My images for my
contents and front page are all of a female model which could be
bias towards my male target audience since my target audience is
male and female college students. Next time I will try to have a
male and female model which will attract my male target audience
and not just the female as I feel my images for my magazine cover
and content page does. I will also try to vary my shot type not
just having similar shots e.g. mid shot or close ups. This will
help me improve the quality of my magazine more.
