Fast track your progression onto an undergraduate course by following the International Foundation Year which ESE is offering in partnership with NCC Education, UK. The International Foundation Year (IFY) is recognised by over 50 universities and guarantees entry into some universities in the UK provided that you meet all other entry criteria. The IFY is a long-term academic programme which helps you develop your level of English proficiency and allows you to develop the skills necessary for academic success in the Business, IT or Engineering sectors.

What is the International Foundation Year ?

Course Objectives • Prepares students for undergraduate

study in English; • Gives students exposure to studying

Business and/or Computing subjects in English (including Maths) and develops their ability to recall information and solve problems in these areas;

• Builds students’ key study skills and equips them to manage their studies in an effective manner;

• Increases students' understanding of British culture or the culture in which they intend to study and build their confidence to integrate in an overseas environment;

Who is the International Foundation Year for ?

• Students who are 17 years (or older)

• Students who have successfully completed High School in their country

• Students who have followed 12 years of formal education in their country

• Students who require further English language development

• Students who want to progress to undergraduate study at a university in the UK, US or Australia

What does the IFY lead to?

The International Foundation Year provides students with an affordable route to obtaining a university bachelor’s degree in the UK, US and Australia in the following subjects:

Which universities can students apply to?

Successful IFY candidates can apply to over 50 universities which recognise the NCC Education International Foundation Year certificate or to any other university through UCAS.

Some universities provide Conditional Letters of Acceptance to relevant degree courses upon successful completion of the IFY.

What are the entry requirements?

• Students must have successfully completed secondary school education in an appropriate range of subjects; AND EITHER

• Have the required minimum result in the NCC Education Standard English Placement Test (SEPT), available through the NCC Education portal Campus; OR

• Have a score of 4.5 or better in the IELTS examination for the Standard programme or a score of 5.5 or better for the Intensive programme;

• Must be at least 17 years old;

Course ContentStructure of the International Foundation Year

Qualification Title: International Foundation Year Credits: 120 Units: Candidates must pass all Core Units and two Elective Units to be awarded the IFY . certificate.
