もう (yet) is optional; まだ is not used. Simple past tense is used; no form of ている

is used.

（もう）洗濯（せんたく）をしましたか。 Did you do the laundry (yet)?

もう (already) is used; it is optional here as well.

Simple past tense is used.

はい、（もう）しました。 Yes, I (already) did [the laundry].

まだ is used. This is not optional. 〜ていない form is used. The simple past

cannot be used here; you must use the form of negative ~teiru.

いいえ、まだしていません。 No, I haven’t done [the laundry] yet.

Examples Affirmative

A. もう お風呂（ふろ）に はいりましましたか。 B. はい、はいりましました。

Negative

A. 夕飯（ゆうはん）を 食べましましたか。 B. まだ 食べていません。
