In 1940 Jeffrey enlisted to go fight in World War 2, during this time he was : Aged- 22Weight- 167Height- 5’ 9’’      April 15 1940 was the date Jeffrey’s enlistment was approved. He went to fight

in World War 2 for his country, working as an air observer in the Royal Canadian air force.

Air Observer

To be a air observer you must demonstrate a level of skill, knowledge and judgment appropriate to the requirements all aviation positions. A modern day term for air observer is co pilot. Jeffrey had to be a skilled pilot and have to work with other pilots to observe the air space around the air craft.

Jeffrey enlisted to fight in World War 2 due to his patriotism. He wanted to help fight for Canada and stop the other countries from attacking.

On August 8th 1941 Jeffrey died during air operations in Germany.

He was missing and presumed dead.

Jeffrey was 24 years 3 months and 13 days old when he died.

He had been fighting in the War for 2 years.

Sergeant Observer Jeffrey is buried in the War Cemetery at Uden.
