On June 1st 2005 the Educational Institutions with European Dimension Polesine Network “Eur.adi.po.net” was instituted with the purpose of being a centre for information and documentation as well as an European planning laboratory.

Network “Eur.adi.po.net” coordinate different initiatives

inside the European programmes in the educational field in Rovigo

and its Province;

The area in which our institutes operate is characterized by a high rate of migration (e.g.

from China, Romania, Morocco etc) and unemployment. That influences the standard of living of many our students and their families.

18% of our students live in reduced circumstances with not enough income. 13% of

students receive social help (free lunches, allowances, scholarships, benefits from social

help organizations).

Many pupils live in disadvantaged families (with separated or unemployed parents ). 20% of

students have difficulties acquiring a knowledge from school curriculum. Quite a lot of students

risk the social exclusion and drop the school out. Some of the students are taught in individual tuition because of their specific illnesses and

architectural barriers at buildings. 1% of students comes from pathological background

and require constant counseling.

The main aims of the “Eur.adi.po.net” are the following:

1. Agnese Baggio Study Center was founded in Adria in 1989 immediately after the death of its inspirer with the purpose of promoting and concretizing Agnese Baggio’s taught and teaching.

Agnese Baggio was culturally a kaleidoscopic character: Educator, fond of Scouting, explored in sundry phases of her life, spiritual and educational routes. She was interested, brilliantly, in the different cultures of the world and in the different religeous and phylosophical points of view.

The Study Centre has been carrying out plenty of cultural activities for years, focusing, first of all, the attention towards Education to globalization.

The Study Centre is a place for meetings and discussions about various subjects.

The aim is to confront , through the dialogue and mutual respect, different opinions for social justice.


The Study Centre has accomplished practical projects of solidarity for specific needs: e.g. in 1996 a medical surgery was built in an Argentinian barrio and in 1999

humanitarian helps were carried out in Kosovo.

Intercultural - International after-school activities held up by volunteers

Intercultural – International after-school activities addressed to foreign under-age children living in the town of Adria started in 2004.

The aim of the after-school activities is to re-establish a balance between foreing students and Italian school sillabus providing them with instruments to get over the barriers of language knowledge and cultural habits, trying to built a communicative bridge between students and school environment.


Educational activities are

aiming at: * respect and mutual dignity

of every human being. *expression and valorization

of original cultures * knowledge and

comparisons of different aspects of the host country culture.
