Teacher Student TimeStarter: Define identity using Max Weber theory- ‘Meaning makers’. Quick think, what do you think he meant by this?

Task 1: Cover Q2 Introduce the MI5 agent topic using xtranormal animation. Provide a template for the students’ to design an identity badge.

Task 2: Cover Q3 Sentence starters, students’ to write a character profile using the categories at the beginning of the lesson.

Students to discuss in pairs what ‘meaning maker’ means. Discussion then put ideas into a mind map; human identity - age, ethnicity, language, gender, kinship, economy.

Individual work, to design a badge to be used in later lessons.

Students must write a section about their new character. It must include aspects talked about at the beginning of the lesson.
