Ask your administrator for Libguides: [email protected] to add your name to the system.

Sign in using your email address and your Libguide password.

Once you have created a guide it will be listed in this drop down box for you to edit at any time.

Or you can Create a new guide by clicking on ‘Guides’ in the toolbar and then choose ‘Create New Guide’

“Guide title” for example: Geological Sciences Library Guide – UCT

“Short description” for example: How to find information - a library guide for Geological Sciences students and academics at UCT.

Start fresh (no template) or use an existing guide

Click ‘Create New Guide’

Once you have created your guide, you can always change the information about your guide by going to “Guide Settings” and click on “Change Guide Information”

In the “Change Guide Information” box in the “Basic Settings” tab, you can change the title or description of the page.

Give your guide a friendly URL . This will be the web address of your new guide.

In the “Change Guide Information” box in the “Assigned Tags” tab, you can assign tags to your page. Separate each tag with a comma.

“Tagging your guide with a few keywords will help users find it in the system….”

Click ‘Save’ and then ‘Close’
