The Library: What You Need to Know

Each class has a 20 minute scheduled instruction block once a week to come to the library with their class.

Open Access will be from 8:30 to 9:30 for 4th and 5th and 12:20-1:20 for 2nd and 3rd. 2 students from each class may come at a time during open access time.

Planning with your Librarian

Plan cooperatively with the librarian to allow her to enhance your curriculum or current lessons during library time.

Reinforce library expectations in the classroom and the librarian will reinforce classroom expectations in the library!

Equipment: Check Yourself before you Wreck Yourself

The library has tons of equipment, games, books, and professional development materials to enhance learning for kids.

When you check out equipment for your class, please make sure to return it “properly, promptly and in good condition.” A good idea is to keep anything you check out in one place and just take it out as needed.
