Magazine Advert for Artists

• Advert promotes a particular new venture for the featured band/artist.

• Often features new album or DVD releases, gigs and performance dates, and also reviews from critics.

• Sometimes used for special events, such as band anniversaries. (<<<<The Stone Roses 20th anniversary)

• A very effective way to quickly display the artist in a powerful manner that highlights the key points for the reader.

Main Features of the Magazine Advert

• Title of Artist/Band.

• Small review comments.

• Photo of either artist or object/scene familiar with the artist.

• Available at a particular store/website.

• Band/Artist web address.

• Record Label and Band Logo.

• Advertises either Concerts, Album releases, Upcoming events involving Artist e.g Interviews.

My Magazine Advert Ideas

• My advert will feature the familiar “forest” backgrounds that featured in the Digipak designs.

• It will be of A4 size and origin.

• The advert will stick to the basic points of advertisement, the forest will once again not be featured in the music video, but it is a chosen image that will be familiar to the artist conventional designs.
