I chose this photo as it is the most straight one, in focus shot. It has enough space that I can put the masthead and cover lines around him whilst keeping him as the focus. I imported this photo into photo shop, duplicated the layer, and use the spot healing tool to make his face more even.

I selected the models face using the magic wand tool, then went to Filter, Blur, Smart Blur

I then changed the radius and threshold using the sliders on the widget, to soften his face out.
