Who is this man?• His name is Manuel but you can also call him Manolo or

Supermanolo• He was born the 7th of December 1974 in León• He is a shot put player and he is one of the best in the world• He is 39 years old, he is 1.86 tall and he weighs 114 kg

His work• The shot put is a jump shot in which the athlete must

have strength and speed condition.• Women and men can practice this sport. They must be

1.80 cm tall an they must weigh 120 kg• His best mark was on 13th July in 2004 in Salamanca

Rules of the discus

• The balls weigh 7 kg for men and 4 kg for women• The throwing circle must have a diameter of 2 m • The surface must be flat • The ball must be thrown with one arm • The throwing area must be marked with white lines
