DESCRIPTION

Increasingly museums and heritage organisations are looking beyond their traditional audiences to engage and reach new groups. Low cost digital technologies including social media, video and audio have provided new opportunities to reinterpret collections. This seminar will explore the changing nature of community outreach projects using case studies which involved groups of unemployed adults, young people and the homeless to bring museum and heritage stories to life using digital media.
