Colour schemes:Contrasting colours will be used within my magazine I am looking to probably use Dark blue and Bright yellow as the two colours that I base my magazine around. The images within will be rather regular and may have singular pieces of clothing that stand out due to vibrancy.

Images to use:Front cover is a medium image filled with one artist surrounded by guitars or holding a guitar, the person will not be looking directly at the camera they will be looking into the distance slightly. No legs will be visible but the top half of the body will be visible.Contents page many images of the bands that feature and of random musically themed items such as instruments etc. may feature a small taster image of the main centre fold story.For the double page spread I will use a time lapse image of the artist moving along doing something music based and there will be enhancements within these images to make them faded and linked.

Audience:The primary audience for my magazine will be males from the age of 16 to 30 it is a rather young audience base however is done so as the music types are very commonly recognised within that age and gender group. The colour scheme will work on this age and gender audience base and colours, images and content will all be based on those that read the magazine.

Main story:The main story will be about jack Lawther and his new upcoming music with the band Rain the Cult. It will focus solely on him as a solo artist and talk to him about all of his experiences and how he got into the music industry, it will contain a brief introduction about early life and then it will move onto things which surround music. He will also explain any songs he has written for the readers.

Audience interests: The interests of the audience will be the genres of music which have already been highlighted as appearing in my magazine. There will also be the interest to learn about music and interest in guitars.

Target audience: (age range, interests)

The target audience are males from the ages of 16 to 30.The interests of the audience will include guitars and learning about music.They will find the genres of acoustic, rock, indie etc. to be entertaining and have a keen interest about learning more in these fields of music.

Ambiance, Strum , 4 chords, Treble, Bass line, Solo, Burnt, Loop pedal, Kick, Enhanced, Snare, Tom to tom, The Rapture, Cynical.I chose most of these names because they have some relation to music and they work well as a one line title. Also some of them have a good ring to them and work well when you call it (Strum Magazine) for example.

Main image:What will be the focal point of your front page, remember, your work

The main image will be of one person and a medium long shot which focuses mainly on the upper body of the person and the object of which he will be holding, one artist surrounded by guitars or holding a guitar, the person will not be looking directly at the camera they will be looking into the distance slightly. No feet will be visible but the upper half of the body will be visible.

This will set up the magazine for the main story which is about jack and his life with music etc. it will link to the centre fold and double page spread.

Additional key images:What other images will be on your front cover?

there will be an image of the regular person that appears in the magazine next to the text which is the title of his part within the magazine . The front cover over than this will not have much else in the way of images on it because its supposed to be rather minimalistic so the attention of the audience is on the main character and not anything else.

Additional cover lines:Other features, stories or selling points which will be inside the magazine, these need to be audience appropriate.

Typography: (style, size, colour of copy)Think about the writing and the style of the writing on your front page.

Formal text,Factual writing, Lyrics from modern day artists, Quotes from real people, Interviews, stories and snippets will all be included the text will be formal but with hints of sarcasm and humour.

Background colour/image:What will be in the background, remember you don’t want to take the focus away from the main image.

the background will be most likely white or possibly a gradient filled background which is a mix of both white and another colour. This colour could be blue or black but I may change my mind when it comes to choosing a colour or a background design so I am not 100% sure yet.

Technical considerations:(equipment, setting, props, costume, lighting)Be realistic and creative, think about what you have access to and how you could use it.

the lighting will be bright and I will most likely use stage lighting to enhance the look of the person I take a picture of. The background of the pictures will be white and blank. The props will be relative to the magazine itself and they will be visible within the main images. The setting will be on stage but this may not be shown in the image?

Double Page Spread:(what will be the main article in your magazine?)This will need to be the main story on your cover, what detail will be featured inside?

the double page spread will be about one artist and this is the artist that is featured on the front cover of the magazine. There will be a variety of images on this double page spread and it will contain many different stories from the life of the artist in question. It will have quotes, questions, music lyrics and information on it to tell the reader all about the artist.
