My recent experiences with electronic video communication, in this case, online systems like Skype, have redefined my conceptions of technology and global communication. This entertaining and informative experience, though disproportionately stressful to one with little familiarity with the inherent circumstances, greatly increases my sense of solidarity with other people.

When thrust into conditions such as I was, one is forced to quickly adapt and learn invaluable skills including public speaking and self-confidence. The video conference our class participated in was such an occasion. Therein I presented four minor speeches and responded promptly to the overseer’s questions.
